It’s occurred to me that I’ve spent a lot of time writing blog posts without properly introducing our amazing staff. You may have interacted with several of us if you’ve visited our store. We hope it was a good experience! I’m very proud of my staff; we’re selective on who we hire and always try to pick people who are engaging, fun, and outgoing.
I’ve got the best; not that I’m biased. Okay, maybe a little bit.
My name is April Lumadue. I am the store manager at Craft Axe Throwing in Columbia and will also be the store manager at our Lexington location when it opens. I enjoy my job tremendously and can’t imagine working anywhere else.
Giselle Madison and Zach Topper are my right and left hands.
Assistant manager Giselle (Gigi) is our operations manager and deals with our beer and inventory. She’s great at her job and we’ve worked together since day one. She’s fun and outgoing and I appreciate her.
Zach Topper is our marketing assistant manager and helps with our social media and marketing endeavors. He’s fairly new here to both Craft Axe Throwing and time Columbia, SC. but he’s adjusted to everything like a champ.
Our instructors, or “Axe-perts”, are professional in every sense. They’re good with the axes, their customers, and each other. They genuinely care about what they do and always give their best. Jacob is our lead instructor and he does a wonderful job of keeping his area in check. He also helps with our leagues. These are (in no particular order) our axe instructors.
Jacob, Skyler, Hunter, Nathan, Quincy, and the newest team members, Nina and Trey.
Our bar and front counter people are some of the nicest people you’ll encounter. I’m very proud of how they interact with our guests and hope you’ll get a chance to meet them if you haven’t yet. They are:
Mackenzie, Noelle (she helps run our leagues and instructs), Zach (who also instructs and helps with leagues), Jeff, and new hires, Riley, Jourdyn, and Morgan.
Our staff is very friendly! When you come in, now that the names are somewhat familiar, spend a little time talking with them; you’ll be glad you did. I know you’ll love them as much as I do!
