What amenities do you offer?
We have 13 throwing lanes (five 2-person lanes and eight 4-person lanes), 10 wine barrel tables and seating for approximately 50 people, 5 flat screen TVs with cable access, one women’s multi-stall restroom and one men’s multi-stall restroom (no changing tables), a water cooler with cups, and a bar with canned beer, cider, seltzers, and non-alcoholic drink options. We have snacks available at the bar but we do not serve food.
How do I reserve a lane or an event?
Visit craftaxethrowing.com and navigate to the Lincoln booking page. Choose your desired date and number of participants and select an available time. You must put down a deposit to secure your reservation. Do you accept walk-ins?
We do accept walk-ins, but lane availability is not guaranteed. It is best to reserve ahead of time (especially on Friday and Saturday nights) or at least call to check availability in advance.
How old do you have to be to attend?
Guests of any age are welcome! You must be at least 10 years old to throw an axe (adult supervision required until 17) and you must be at least 21 years old with a valid ID to drink alcohol. ALL GUESTS CONSUMING ALCOHOL MUST HAVE A VALID ID ON THEIR PERSON. We will not serve alcohol to anyone who does not have an ID, regardless of age.
Do you serve food?
We do not serve food, as our facility does not have the space to prepare it. We do have chips/snacks available at the bar, and we allow outside food/catering. Visit our website for more information about catering services.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes. We serve canned beer and ciders/seltzers.
How do you regulate drinking and axe-throwing?
To maintain guest safety, we allow up to 2 drinks per guest within the time before and during any axe-throwing session. Each guest who wants to drink will have their ID checked and get a wristband. Wristbands are tallied with each drink purchased.
If you want to have more than 2 drinks, you can do so as long as you do not handle any axes for the rest of the night.
We will not serve alcohol to anyone who does not have an ID, regardless of age. We will not serve nor allow participation for anyone that is visibly intoxicated.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Close-toed shoes are required (we will not let you throw axes in flip flops!). Avoid wearing loose, baggy clothing or loose jewelry/accessories. There are racks available for coats.
Where can I park?
We have limited parking in our lot, but there is street parking available nearby, as well as meter parking (free after 6 pm) and the A & D parking lot across the street is available for guest parking after 5 pm.
Do I have to bring my own axe?
Craft Axe Throwing provides each group two axes per lane–one 14” and one 18”. For safety and liability reasons, we do not allow guests’ personal axes to be brought into the facility. (Exceptions apply for Axe Throwing League members)
Do I need to have any experience?
Nope! Guests with any level of expertise are welcome. Everyone will receive a safety and technique introduction from a certified axe-throwing instructor (aka Blade Master) before the session begins (this is not taken out of your throw time). Our blade masters will give you a chance to practice as well as offer tips if you need. Guest safety is our #1 priority, so our instructors will be monitoring the lanes to ensure safe throwing and will be available for questions if you have any.
What is your late/no-show policy?
We ask that every group arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time to allow enough time for check-in and a safety & rules briefing. We will start your timer at the scheduled time* regardless of whether or not your entire group has arrived (*exceptions may apply for early arrivals and schedule changes). Any group that is not present within 5 minutes of their scheduled time will have to surrender their lane to the next group. There are no refunds for no-shows or cancellations. Rescheduling is possible at management’s discretion.
